programs include?

Couch to 5K Training Program

Couch to 5K

The Couch to 5K program is geared towards complete beginners. We begin by running for a minute and walking for a minute, 10 times. You will only run your first 5km at the finale event.
This program is currently going live on 16 August and so you will complete your first 5K on 2/3 October 2021!

5-10 K Training Program

5-10 Km Program

We have found that once participants tackle their first 5K, the running bug bites them and within a few weeks and they are ready to take on their first 10K training program. These programs are also group-run programs and so they do not run throughout the year.

Consistency is key

With our Coached Couch to 5km program you will be running with a Coach 3 days a week which will hold you more accountable than ever before.

The Virtual Couch to 5km program and the Fastest 5km program are to be completed yourself, however, we would recommend getting a couple of friends to sign up and join you in an effort to stay safe out there on the roads.

Strength training for running

Strength training & Stretching

We have partnered up with Samantha Marshall (Biokiniticest) from 340 on Main to bring you strength training sessions to aid your journey of running with no injuries. You will be given access to a portal through the website where your strength training sessions may be found.
Running for Cake Community

Join the community

Most importantly, you will be surrounded and supported by a group of like-minded and inspirational women. Build friendships, celebrate your achievements with coffee dates and hold each other accountable!
